Dale Riedel is the founding attorney of Loom Light Legal PLLC in Cooperstown, New York. He practices family law, divorce, estate planning, criminal and traffic defense, and pet law, and has been admitted to the New York bar since 2021.

Dale Riedel grew up in Queens and practices in Otsego County. His path to law included work in different trades and professions and time living abroad. Those experiences inform how he listens to clients and approaches their legal problems.

Dale Riedel founded Loom Light Legal as a solo practice by design. The lawyer a client hires is the lawyer who learns the facts, answers the questions, and handles the matter through to resolution.

Background and approach

Dale Riedel’s legal experience includes private practice and government service. While in law school, he worked in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office under a student practice order. He later served as an Assistant County Attorney for Otsego County, representing the Department of Social Services in matters involving children and families.

Dale Riedel begins by listening. He looks for the resolution that best serves the client, negotiates readily, and litigates when necessary. He keeps clients informed about both their case and its cost. Loom Light Legal uses modern tools to work efficiently and leave more time for the judgment and attention each matter requires.

Away from the office, Dale Riedel enjoys fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with his goldendoodle, Fozzie.
